Enter and Track Orders
The most important feature of any restaurant pos software is order entry and tracking! Point of Success makes it easy to customize its order entry menu specifically for your needs.
Point of Success tracks customers, previous order history, and stores a restaurant's entire product list and ordering menu. Order entry is fast and easy with touch screen support, or you can use a keyboard and mouse if you prefer. No restaurant pos software system is easier to use!

If you track customers for phone orders (delivery or pick-up), select a customer from the database by entering their telephone number. Account details like first order date, buying history and contact information is readily available. Repeat a customer's previous order with the touch of a button. Customer information isn't required if you don't need to store it. A Caller ID option is also available to make customer selection easier and more accurate. Customer tracking and delivery are available only in Point of Success Premium.
Print Preparation Tickets or Use the Kitchen Monitor
Point of Success prints easy-to-read preparation tickets. Tickets can be printed on a shared receipt printer or on a separate printer in the kitchen or bar. An included kitchen monitor feature can move your restaurant closer to a paperless operation.

The kitchen monitor can be used at one or several prep locations. All that's required is a standard computer. Adjust the display to show orders by prep station or service, then bump orders with a touch screen, standard computer keyboard, mouse, or bump bar.
Dispatch Delivery Drivers
Every delivery order automatically appears on the delivery dispatch screen. Just select an order, select the delivery driver, and touch one button to dispatch the order or orders. Returning delivery drivers log in to indicate their availability for another delivery. Delivery dispatches can be done with a separate workstation or combined with an order entry workstation to allow one computer to perform double duty.
Balance and Control Cash Drawers, Driver Banks and Server Banks
Every server and driver bank is automatically flagged for cash drops and easily balanced at the end of a shift. Cash drawers can be assigned to one staff member or shared among all staff members to permit multiple levels of cash control.

Cash control is an important restaurant pos software feature. Each cash register till, server bank and driver bank are opened and tracked to make end-of-shift balancing fast and accurate. Server banking is only available in Point of Success Premium.
Analyze Marketing Effectiveness
Many restaurants need to advertise and promote their business to become and remain successful. Marketing is expensive, and Point of Success helps analyze which marketing campaigns should be terminated and which campaigns or offers should be continued or expanded.

A Time Clock on Every Computer
No matter whether you use Point of Success on a single computer or on a dozen computers on a local area network, your employee time clock can be made available on any or all of your computers. Employees can clock in or clock out anywhere on a network because all time clock entries are synchronized to within one second with the database server computer.

Enter a PIN number and touch the In, Out or Correction button.
Easily Correct Time Clock Records
Time clock errors can occur frequently in a busy restaurant. A missed clock in or clock out record is corrected in this easy-to-navigate window.

Select the employee for which a time clock correction is to be made. Touch the time clock record to be corrected, then touch the In or Out button to change the time. Time clock corrections are protected with Point of Success security features, allowing only designated employees to change or correct time clock records.

Delivery and Take-Out Restaurant Caller ID System
Point of Success Caller ID is a combination of hardware and software that work together to deliver caller ID information from your phone lines to your Point of Success order entry software. Incoming calls display on each order entry computer to identify the calling customer, speeding the entry of customer information.
No Need to Enter Caller Information
It’s important to know who your customers are, but it takes time to enter complete customer information for every delivery order. With Point of Success Caller ID the customer telephone number, first and last name are entered automatically when setting up a new customer. Just enter the street address and customer zip code to complete setup for the customer. With Point of Success Caller ID, 60% of a residential customer’s information is entered automatically!

Incoming calls display on the left side of the Select Customer window when taking a phone order. Touch the incoming call line and Point of Success finds the customer in your database. New customers are added by touching the New button. 60% of residential customer information is entered automatically by the Caller ID system.
Answer the Longest Waiting Caller First
Point of Success Caller ID flags callers with a status that changes as they wait for service. New incoming calls are colored white, as a call waits the status color changes to yellow and later to red. Warning times can be adjusted to alert your service staff at the times you specify.

The Caller ID server is always listening for information from the Caller ID Interface box. When calls are received, caller information is broadcast to Order Entry workstations, improving the speed and accuracy of phone order entry.
Analyze and Improve Telephone Service Levels
Caller ID makes it easier to serve customers more quickly, and the information provided by the system can make a real difference in a restaurant’s success. Included Caller ID reports, charts and graphs will help in all these important areas:

Restaurant Employee Scheduling Software
Juggling the varying availability of a part-time staff makes employee scheduling one of the hardest things a restaurant manager does!
Manage All the Information Related to Scheduling
Point of Success Employee Scheduling works with staff information already entered in your Point of Success office manager software.
Begin using the program by setting up the times each day when staffing is needed at every position in the restaurant. Each day of the week can be defined differently. If Friday is a busy night for delivery, add additional staff for those hours. If the restaurant is open fewer hours on Sunday, then reduce the time allotted for each position.
Each position in the restaurant is set up at the top of the window. Staff members already entered in Point of Success display at the bottom of the window. Clicking a time slot will flag employee eligibility on the bottom of the window. In this example, the employee shaded in light red is unavailable for the shift. The employees flagged with the light green color are available for the selected shift. Click an employee, then drag and drop the employee onto the schedule bar to schedule the employee for a shift.
Can You Work on Wednesday?
Employee availability tracking is central to scheduling. Point of Success Employee Scheduling tracks when employees are unavailable for work on repeating and one-time schedules.

Define the times each employee is unavailable for work. The unavailable times can be repeating, as with a student's class schedule, or the unavailable times can be for one event, like an appointment with a doctor.
Each New Schedule Can Me Modeled After Any Other Schedule
Previous schedules can be copied for use in new schedules. Copied schedules can include jobs, times and employees, or only jobs and times.
Reports
Point of Success Employee Scheduling includes over a dozen reports. Use this information for communicating schedule information to employees, analyzing predicted labor cost, and more.

Table and Guest Management
Use this product with Point of Success restaurant point of sale software to track waiting guests, reservations, and manage the tables in a restaurant
Table Map
Define your dining area on one screen or assign different rooms or dining areas to separate tabs. Table sizes, shapes and seating capacities are controlled in the table map designer. Use the table map for tasks in Table and Guest Management and Point of Success order entry:
• Check table status
• Open or close a station or dining area
• Visually tie tables to servers and dining areas
• Select a table from the table map in Point of Success Order Entry to create or edit a guest order

Wait List and Reservations
No more paper wait lists! Enter guests as they arrive, then manage every point of contact with a guest:
• Enter guest name, party size, and seating preference
• Record estimated wait time
• Track waiting guest statistics (total guests waiting, longest wait time, average wait time)
Track reservations for any date in the future. Set your reservation list time interval and the total number of reservations permitted for any point in time.

Management Information
The Manager's Console gives a one-screen overview of guest seating, wait list and reservation performance.

Separate statistics windows are available for the hospitality staff to check statistics for the wait list and dining room without accessing the Manager's Console.

Table and Guest Management is intended for use on a touch screen or with a mouse and keyboard. Touch a guest reservation and this window displays, allowing selection of an action for the guest.

Table and Guest Management allows tables to assigned to a server station. Open and close stations, change the server for a station, and define different station templates for different days or day parts.

Find a party wherever they are seated in any dining area.

Each table in the table map displays six key points of information. Pop up this Table Legend window at any time to be reminded of the information displayed.
Fingerprint Login for Point of Success
Log in with just a fingerprint in both Point of Success Standard and Point of Success Premium!
Fingerprint login is faster than entering a PIN number or swiping a magnetic card. Not only is fingerprint login faster, it dramatically improves security:
- Eliminate buddy punching on the time clock
- Eliminate PIN number sharing, guessing, and shoulder surfing
- Eliminate manager PIN number sharing
Everywhere you would use a PIN code in Point of Success, you can scan a fingerprint for access:
- Log in to the Order Entry program
- Log in to the Office Manager program
- Clock in or clock out in the Employee Timekeeping program
- Enter a manager override authorization
Software for fingerprint login is included in both Point of Success Standard and Point of Success Premium version 2.2 and above. Just purchase a fingerprint sensor for each workstation on your network and you've done everything necessary to improve efficiency and security!

Use of fingerprint login requires the purchase of a Point of Success fingerprint sensor for each workstation. The fingerprint sensor connects to the computer through a USB port.
