At its heart are six Class D amplifiers driven by an ultra-efficient power supply. The 8" subwoofer driver is housed in a fourthorder bypass enclosure for clean, tight bass response that can seriously shake the room. Runs on either ADSL or VDSL The Vigor2860's built in DSL interface will connect to either an ADSL or VDSL line. If you have a second line (of either type) you can add an additional modem (or your existing modem from your other line) to the Vigor2860's Ethernet WAN ports. You can set the two lines up in load balancing mode, where traffic is split across both of them, or into failover mode, where the other DSL line only kicks-in if your primary DSL line fails (or vice versa). ADSL makes a particularly good method of failover for VDSL because they are delivered differently. VDSL service is provided and powered by a cabinet in your street - that's where the line terminates. ADSL service, on the other hand, comes all the way from your local exchange, which coul be miles away and is powered from there. That means that if your street's VDSL cabinet is damaged, its DSLAM fails or you lose power to your street, you lose VDSL, but your ADSL line comes via a different method and route, so it's less likely that both would be affected. These failover methods can also be used instead for the other WAN ports on the router (Ethernet or 3G).

The VigorSwitch P2260 is a high-performance fully-managed layer 2 Ethernet switch. Its specification is packed with advanced features to aid reliability and switching performance to your network. The P2260 has 26 Ethernet ports (24 Fast Ethernet, 2 Gigabit) and two SFP ports (for fiber connection modules). The units can be stacked, and meaning that up to 16 can be linked and managed from one web interface. Features for Quality of Service (QoS), VLANs and network/switch security provide additional flexibility. The VigorSwitch P2260 is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch. The Unused wire pairs on the RJ45 connector are used to carry power to the remote device so that the connected device does not need its own local power supply (e.g. mains adaptor). This is particularly useful for devices such as IP webcams or IP telephones where local power may not be convenient but also where an extra PSU would add unnecessary clutter and increased power consumption. The DrayTek P2260 has two SFP (fiber module) ports. In comparison to 'copper' (RJ45), using fiber for uplinks provides longer range and reliance from electrical interference. Each of the two ports can be used instead of the corresponding copper port (ports 25 and 26). The SFP port provides compatibility with your choice of SFP module and therefore the most appropriate fiber technology for your application. The VigorSwitch P2260 is a fully managed Layer 2 switch, not a basic 'Smart Switch' (which is typically an unmanaged switch with some monitoring/control features). A compressive GUI (web interface) provides intuitive control and monitoring of the switches features.
